I was hoping you had a bunch of photos from that Float-Fly for us who couldn't make it.

Many of the pics are on the Rogue Valley Flyers website - http://roguevalleyflyers.com/Home.html - I will bring my camera with me to Redwood School tomorrow if you'd like to see the rest :)

Another GREAT day of flying at Redwood School ;D ;D ;D Brought my usual trio and all did well. No crashes after going through 13 batteries  It started getting windy just after noon so not too many planes in the air, but I had to let my bipe go up one more time. MAN does that plane fly great in the wind!!! Good to see so many familiar faces, what a great group of pilots to fly with :)

LOVE the BipeNX. And I see you're a float flyer!!! You should come down for the RVF Float-Fly days at Lake Selmac. We just had our second of the year last month, but already people are talking about having another one sometime this month, depending on the weather. Always enjoy meeting new pilots :D

I wish. It would probably still be in one piece.  ;D

That Bipe is a pretty sweet little plane and a handful on full rates.

The float plane is a Super Zoom which gets to go fairly regularly on camping/fishing outings. Especially when grandchildren are along.  :)

I built this one a couple of winters ago but it has never been on the water yet.

Very nice Bill! I like the easy conversion from landing gear to floats. It looks to be a great flyer as well. What kit is that?

    Thanks,
It's a Telemaster 40 kit from Hobby-Lobby, and yes a pussycat to fly.
    http://www.hobby-lobby.com/telemaster40.htm

Here are my build photos if you have the time. They show a number of modifications I did while building.

The default speed of the slide show is medium, you may want to set it to slow (lower left corner) to be able to have time to read the notes on many of the photos. Or maybe not.  ;)

VERY nice slideshow of the build! I like your bomb bay solution, very simple and effective. I am impressed with your patience in building such a kit (I wish I had some!). I haven't had the patience to step above an ARF kit, and actually stay mostly with the EPO foam ARF/RTF setups :-\ Would love to see you out at Redwood School on Sundays, and would also like to invite you to join the RVF meeting this Wednesday evening. Many modelers of your caliber in the club and we always welcome guests and (hopefully) new members! No pressure of course, just enjoy spreading the passion for our hobby :D You can find the address and details on this thread...

    Thanks for the invites sir.
I'd be honored to be part of the club and even join in for a float fly but it's something over a 3 hour drive to your neck of the woods.  :(

Ooh, sorry Bill. Guess I should have looked at your location first  Well if you are ever down our way, please look us up for some flying. There are several of us ready at any time! :D Will keep you posted for our next float fly event. It usually takes place over an entire weekend (Fri-Sun) and there are camping sites at the lake right where we fly from! ;)

No problem. I have just added my home town to my profile so folks would know where I am from, it wasn't there for you to see earlier.  ;)

It would be cool to drop by some day though.

    Will do.
Hope GPS get a chance to see this one fly. It could be the plane to get him started.  ;)

I watched Justin fly his Champ today and will probably go for one of those.  I kind of blew my budget on the 1/8 scale on-road car and this airplane runs on batteries I already have several of for my Blade mSR.  I think my next aircraft project will be a quad-rotor craft.

Yeah, I think we have GPS convinced to go with the Champ. Cheap to get into and a real easy flyer! Lots of great flying today. Broke my F-18 twice and was able to do field repairs both times to keep it flying ;D I'm pretty sure the airframe weighs twice as much as it did when new due to all the extra glue and tape
