You couldn't get spare parts for the Zenmuse? What parts were you needing?

I kind of like the H3 3D but I don't like the way they designed the suspension by using the rubber suspension parts in stretch mode instead of compression mode. The Blade 350 QX camera mount is the same way. Tarot got it right and it looks like your DYS does also.

Torn custom flex cable for one. Basically you can get the parts for the vibration isolation, but anything beyond that it was " send it in for service"

I'd have to say is a elegant gimbal, just not practical for repairs.

Yeah the DYS does work on compression and I think is bascially the same design as Tarot, I ended up swapping out the rubber balls (way to weak) and threw in some foam earplugs to boot.

Was it one of those silicone wires, or the one like a flexible printed circuit that you needed?

Were you seeing vibration in your video with the stock DYS setup?

Would the DJI balls fit the DYS? It looks like a lot of these have similar physical dimensions, but the materials vary widely.

Yeah the stock setup has some vibration. The balls were extremely weak. about half as dense as you'd think. The are smaller too, so no I wasn't able to get the Old ones to fix but I just sandwiched them in and ran a zip tie trough it and seems to work fine.

The wire was the flexible printed type, but it wasn't standard say a 8 to 8 match, various parts spun off to different connectors, shared a ground etc.

Ya, I think I'm going to still go the bypass nava route. Thank you for the heads up. I may have to try that route again if I fail. Trial and error is my motto.....

Flew in the wind today and it was a trip! hahahha. Fun though.

@Jonas What was happening with the stock DYS suspension balls that you changed them? Jello?

I had some jello with a Blade 350 DX suspension mount. I inserted some cubes of memory foam into the balls and that helped me. In the mean time I found out Team Black Sheep has a assortment of different densities of these things in various colors. I don't need them now, but it might be something to look into if they aren't too expensive. The ones I have now work great, but it's summer and warm outside. We'll see if they perform differently when the weather cools.

@Crumrine Do you have the GPS option for your Naza?

Ya, I have GPS up and running great. Saved my butt in the wind gusts I believe.

@Crumrine - When I first setup my Naza + GPS hovering in some strong wind was one of my early tests after getting the gains setup. I just let it hover hands off for a full battery. I figured if it was going to crash from wind better in a controlled close place than somewhere out there when I'm not expecting it. Pretty impressive stuff!

Ya, It's like magic what the flight computers, sensors, and gps can accomplish...

I am trying to develop a feel for battery life. I've been landing when my voltage gets to about 10.6 or so. Is that safe? I haven't run any hover tests or anything. I'm flying on twin 2500mah 11.1v 28c lipos. Any tips?

I'm not the guy to ask about that. My method probably isn't the right way to determine battery life / flight time.
They say you should not run LiPo batteries down below a certain percent. That's probably a good rule to make your batteries last a long happy life.
When I get new batteries I hover (close in near me) each one until I can feel the throttle start to get weak. I'm running a timer when I do this. Also the DJI VU will start to blink red when your batteries are getting low. You really don't want to be flying far away when that light starts blinking red.

I would be curious to hear from others how they determine the flight time for their batteries. Seems like a good thing to discuss. I know we have some guys here that probably approach this subject more scientifically than I do. My method is a bad habit developed from driving surface stuff that doesn't fall from the sky when you run the battery flat.

I have an iOSD mini that I added on as a heads up display, but I don't have a battery percentage, just the volts themselves.

I would also be interested in hearing from the larger group on this topic.
