The camera is easily removeable, and yep, I plan to try it both ways.
Hopefully it will fit the bottom of the quad after I fit it with heli type landing gear I have ordered.

I have a number of the plastic boxes receivers come in, and the lids should work quite well. Just drill holes around the edge as they have shown....
