The Rogue Valley flyers are once again presenting their annual static display and info booth at the Pottsville Father's Day Weekend shin-dig! Come on out and enjoy all the festivities, food, and fun. This event is going on Saturday and Sunday June 16-17. We will be showing several aircraft as well as offering info on club activites, AMA events, and student pilot registrations. Pottsville is on Pleasant Valley Road in Merlin. Drive on out and follow the signs. See you there
Ha, well, I guess........ Just don't blink while driving past it......... The third bridge here in town (the one that is alone and goes towards wal mart) is the Deb Potts bridge.......
Pottsville was founded by former senator Debbs Potts as a Pioneer Town & Oregon History Museum. It's really just a chunk of property in Meriln with a lot of old tractors, buildings and other stuff collected from around Oregon displaying the state's pioneer background. It is very popular every Father's Day weekend when they put on their "Pioneer Days" event. People come from all over the NW to display their pioneer wares - steam engines are the main thing - and watch the "actual" tractor pulls! It's a lot of fun. Plan to make a day of it.
