I have always wondered why multirotors were not enclosed for safety like the AR Drone. Thought it made things worse, but they say this enclosed unit causes more lift, and more flight time due to the shape of the enclosure becoming an air foil.

Pelagic Pilot - This is probably the drone you mentioned at Abby's when we talked about my design for a "Manta Ray" enclosed UAV Drone.  I remember this now.  It is enclosed but I was thinking of having more wing-like sides.

They have a cool product here but it seems that it will  be very expensive.

I was trying to learn more about this company "Olaeris" and their AEVA drone.  I am pretty convinced they are nothing but vaporware.  It's really hard to take them serious when real photos of their AEVA drone are nowhere to be found, only renderings.  Additionally, look at their "About Us" page, what kind of serious company lists their directors with their impressive credentials by first name only?  Ted?  Ted who?  The second most important person  in order of listing on their own about us page is "Neil" their general counsel, not the alleged founding engineers "Paul", "Daniel" or "William".  Hmm.

Another thing that struck me is that this company has all this great technology and engineers, but yet they cannot master the technology to make their own website.  Look on the bottom of their pages and you'll see that their website was outsourced.  That doesn't jive to me at all.

Check out their YouTube channel and you'll see comments are disabled.  Obviously they don't want people calling them out on their vaporware product in the public space.

Something is really stinky about Olaeris.  My guess is they are patent trolls somehow, or setting themselves up to be wannabe patent trolls.

You don't know Ted? There can't be that many people out there named Ted. Did you see the $15 Million Dollar parter opportunity on the contact us page? I think all you need to do is them them a bunch of money to get your name on the list, then later you will be awarded your cut of the success. Probably need a forklift to get your share of the profits off the truck.

Ah, Ted, I think this photo is of him in a interview.

I think this is the "Opportunity" you mentioned:

It is also funny that they don't have this press release on their own website.
