i have no idea i got it from adam, ill have him take a look at it today.looks like ill be getting a better esc sooner than i thought
With a rc drift car you don't have to turn into the slide to keep it going like in a real car. You can change the gearing to make the rear wheels turn faster than the front thus allowing you to turn into the slide or counter steer. It just adds the the realism of the car which is a big part of rc drifting. The video posted by chaseloc101 with the moving driver had some good views of counter steer.
i have a stupid phone so i never evn saw that vid.i did some reading on countersteer last nite seems like those cars drive sideways when goin straight.
They do because the rear wheels are always trying to overtake the front. I haven't quite got the hang of driving with the counter steer. I may have to modify the steering.
i did notice tjhat alot of the cars had their front wheels toed out i read it helps with the angle of the drift
I think mine is set up like that. I have mine cambered front has half more angle than back. And help transition when powering over. But the again my wheels are so slick i dont think any these matter.
It's pretty easy to try if you have turnbuckles on the steering. Get a turnbuckle wrench that fits your front and rear turnbuckles to try different settings.
Thanks to grand turismo5 where i do alot of drifting, i've learned alot abouy setting up suspension. Honestly for rc cars, i wouldn't do anything. But my car is like a slip and slide. I have positve camber but its for looks. If had grippier tire and had trouble sliding it, i would adjust rear toe out and positive camber, makes less traction and same to the front with a bit more angle. This will catch your counter steer and flip you to the other side. And this wiuld be for rwd. Awd needs almost no counter steering. This might not be for everyone. But when i first started rc drifting, i was squilry, now im trying the tightest spots, and have so much control.
