LMAO [IMG] I have this habit of tossing my mail aside and letting it pile up!
... Which is NOT a good idea at the best of time but hey that's the way I am.
Anyway as I'm looking at this pile of mail over my morning cup of Joe I notice a government envelope,
... so I decided to open it up and have to look to see what "they" want.

Guess what I finds, I finds a check $100, w00t it starting to be a good day ...
    ... but it gets better
I decides to look through the pile and I find FOUR more envelopes from the government ALL with checks in them,
... w00t it's STARTING to be a really GOOD day

After I calculates the totals I find they sent me near 900 bucks to stuff in my pocket ...
... all JUST over morning coffee, yup a GREAT day indeed ...

    I'm a smiling and singing a song ...

You think you like em is probably so true, "think" being the word ;)

What that money was is what they call a 'GST Rebate' and in a very REAL sense it's a BRIBE! Way it works is we pay a Provincial Retail or Sales TAX of 7% and on top of that we pay what they call the GST (it's much like Britain's VAT) which is another 6%. So then based on our income every 3 months they send us our GST rebate which, as I said depending on income can be between $75 and $150 every quarter. BUT yes the cash-back looks good, and getting money back from the government just don't happen in other parts of the world but really we're getting raped with our retail TAX. In short the introduction of the GST was a provincial CASH grab! Meh teh GST cash-back is an attempt to pacify and stop the TAX revolt

LOL, I'm sure after you get to know our GOV as we do you'll HATE them as much has we do ...

[IMG] LMAO, who said GRASS !?! [IMG]

Hey, thanks to my NEW forgotten MONEY I got me a happy RANT ... LOL

First up is my new 16GB SD Memory that replaces a card I accidentally destroyed {LOL} HAPPY my camera is back on the J.o.B
... This is also my FIRST High-Speed card being a Class 10 card, whereas the broken card was Class 4
... I'm looking forward to trying teh HIGH speed (Camera to Card) because they say it helps a cameras 'burst rate' or said to fire-off the pictures much quicker. Also itching to try is the Card to PC speed as the speed of transfer seemed slow with my Class 4 card?

Second FIX and probably the MOST painful of my hardware issues of late is the arrival of my NEW Rodent which replaces the one with a troubled (has a worn micro-switch) LEFT Button. I'll tell ya's we can take our mouses for granted most days but when "they" ain't working quite right it CAN make the computing real miserable! Thus happily MOUSE clicking as we speak

Meh, sometimes it's the little things that make us smile [IMG]

I've got a Logitech MX mouse and the left button has been problematic for a while too.  Did you go wired or wireless with your new mouse?

Yup sounds like the same issue as my now DEAD rodentia, sounds like it's Micro-switch is going ta-ta ... LOL
Out of ALL the mechanical 'whats-its-this-and-that' its the Left-button which (obviously) gets the most pounding

A: for the Question: I've always preferred a Wireless Rodent
Battery life for my NEW mouse (m325) Logitech claims 1 year
So if we adjust that into REAL WORLD usage it's still an incredible amount of miles before it will require new

In general battery life of our mouses has jumped quite substantially in the newest generations
Even my old Logitech (m310) teh battery life is measured in 'months'
But my rodent before that it's battery life was measured in 'hours'

NOW and WOW we're getting batt LIFE that is measured in YEARS ...
But as always as too many variables for accuracy demand "your mileage will vary"

I've been using a wireless mouse for a while also but I was thinking to go back to a corded mouse.  My current mouse with the flakey left button has a recharger stand so battery life was never a issue.  I only drove it down to the red indicator a couple times in a few years that I've been using it and it never ever stopped working on me.  When I would notice it was getting low I could just pop it in the charger cradle while I went to the market or to bed or whatever.
What I like most about this mouse though is it's shape.  It's the one with the thumb rest on the left side and I've really gotten used to that feature.  If you're a lefty this mouse is no good for you though.

Yeah mouses are a personal affair
An affair which can be quite intimate, friends for life type of thing
So when they DIE getting a FEEL for it's replacement can be for the lack of a better word, traumatic ...
[IMG] LMAO okok, that was a BIT over the TOP but meh, it's the idea that counts eh [IMG]

PS: I wanted to mention previously that my new SD Card came with FREE Image Rescue software
which looks pretty good, polished if you will  [IMG]  It's the 'Added Value' that will make teh FUTURE

I went to the Logitech website to see what was new in Mouses and saw this:

    http://www.logitech.com/en-us/gaming/mice-keyboard-combos/g600-mmo-gaming-mouse

What do you think?  I guess it's really targeted towards gamers.  I doubt I would ever use those side buttons.  I even doubt I could remember what they are all for.  ;)

EDIT:  This one is looking pretty good to me.  I like the side thumb rest even though it looks smaller than the one on my MX mouse.

Those 'gaming' mouses tend to play to my opinionated nature ... ALL those extra buttons are fine if you actually use them, hehe as you said

The second one LOOKs better, I like that one ;)

I'm chiming in for the mouse discussion. I picked up a Razer mouse (The Naga, specifically; I [used to] play World of Warcraft). I went from a wireless ergonomic mouse back to a corded mouse and love it. It's more responsive and precise and I personally love the way it feels. It has a 1-12 keypad built into the side of it for MMO gamers, but they have plenty of other "gaming" mice that look/feel just as nice as this one. I got a Razer DeathAdder for the wife and she loves it. Razer makes great mice, but stay far, far, far away from their keyboards. I've heard their mechanical keyboards are great, but their matrix keyboards are awful. I'm typing on it now, but we'll see for how long before I have to unplug it and plug it back in...

Yup I know 'Razer' and must agree that they do make good rodents. It's been some time since I've been into gaming and overclocking so I have forgotten about what makes a good gaming mouse. But yeah I remember Razor ...

Yup when I bought my camera there wasn't many if any WiFi enabled camera's around. Since they have started adding WiFi as a choice I knew WiFi is what I wanted in my camera and this card does FIT that BILL quite nicely

However the card as NICE has it is kinda annoys me a little, actually NO it ANNOYS me ALLOT! They take a device and limit it's functionality then go about acting like they have invented ALL these great features when ALL they really have have done is crippled it's feature set. The card only supports three file types making it limited and ONLY suitable for use in camera's. The three file types it supports are, Photo, Video and Camera RAW ...

... Still I will make good use of the card even with it's obvious limitations it's just those freaking 'marketeers' and their BS, annoy

 Guess we should CALL this my 'Mini-Review' AKA: rant  ;)

PS: The 'Geotagging' is NOT real, or what I would call a REAL positioning system ...

LOL, poetic license aside I mean it doesn't use GPS satellites to calculate it's position, it uses the 'WiFi Locational System' where the device needs at least one other WiFi transmission (not to be confused with 'Hotspot') within immediate range in order to calculate the position, more WiFi's obviously the more accurate the calculation ... but NO WiFi in the AREA then NO position!

Well my little RANt was for nothing really ... Turns out the Eye-Fi Pro X2 is a excellent product and as much has I hate to 'recommend' things in general this I can certainly recommend.

It's great, while working on my picture taking the photo's upload to my PC in the background. When finished with my camera the PICS will be there ALL ready for Photo-Editing

No more need to handle the Card as it can now STAY inside the camera. No wear'n tear on the card nor camera and are absolutely safe from ME and my wicked ways ... HeHe NO more crushing my CARDS with my chair {LOL} and NO forgetting the card in Card Reader or forgetting in the camera. Believe you me this happens to me allot ...

'GeoTagging' also works darn GOOD although NOT accurate enough to become a 'security risk' but certainly close enough. As the screen shot shows the 'marker' remains relatively close to my actual location but the location of the marker will vary or move around the map a wee bit with each subsequent PIC

The software is a bit simple, maybe too simple as I find it featureless w/ too little in the way of features, hehe not much to play with! As a config tool the application is adequate however the picture displaying capabilities are so lacking in usefulness it's worthless! Outside of need to configure the card I don't or wouldn't have a use for this application!

Also the installation had a bit of a rocky start resulting in the need to talk to Eye-Fi Customer Care but we and tech-support we're able to resolve the issue. My ISP was to blame! Now after dealing with my ISP's tech-support we we're able to get the setup working with relative ease

Only thing to TEST now, is the 'Direct' connection to my iPod. This allows me to transfer PICS from my CAM to the iPod, just for when I'm out on the road.

This will basically double my picture taking capability from 1000 high resolution jPEG to 2000, your figures will rely on the available memory space of the iPod, iPhone, iPad or Android and of course the size and pixel density of the photo's you wish to transfer. Then when I'm back at HOME the iPod will automatically transfer the days PICS to my PC as soon has my iPod gets within range of my WiFi network, sweet! Well in 'theory' at least as I said I still need to get this feature working so I can test it ...

Last, as applied to Rc Helicopters I could in theory setup an 'Adhoc Network' in the field and have an 'Aerial Camera' download {haha, NO PUN there is there!?!} to a device on the ground. But of course I would only be limited to WiFi ranges ... then again WiFi ranges are usually pretty good when used in line-of-sight. In all practicallity the possible uses of WiFi in the field is only limited by the imagination!

Yes I certainly CAN recommend the Eye-Fi Pro X2 WiFi 8GB SD Card
