So instead of posting it the day after, how about letting us know the day before? So the next one is in January?
The day after? I don't understand how you arrived at that. The last one was December 7th and the next one is January 4th, 2012. I just made corrections to the events for February, March, April and May this morning because they were incorrect. The indoor fly-and-drives are always the first and third Wednesday's on the month. There isn't one on the third Wednesday of December due to the holidays.
I have no problem paying, but can you please explain what the $5 cover goes towards? It's gonna take me $10 to get there :'(
I am under the impression that all the money goes to the school, but I am not the organizer. Maybe CSager will comment. I can tell you that they are a lot of fun and for your $5 you can fly indoors in a good sized gym and also drive your car or truck on another level of the gym on a floor that is relatively slick and promotes a drifting kind of driving. Not to mention the nice folks you'll get to hang out with that are into RC stuff.
The small amount of money collected at Lincoln Savage goes directly to the school. There is a fixed amount that the school requires to offset the heating and lighting costs in the gym. If we are fortunate enough to collect a few extra dollars, it is donated to the school in appreciation for letting us be there and to help support other activities for the kids. Since we are a relatively small group, sometimes we collect the minimum required and sometimes we don't. Those times when a little extra is collected, it is used to offset those times when we come up short. Overall, in the past we have been able to average more than the minimum and I think everyone feels pretty good about being able to give that little bit extra to support the kids. ...Tiger
