I'm a little short on cash and I was wondering if one of you guys could buy me one of these so I could learn to fly helicopters.  I already have the radio part!  If it's to much, I'd settle for the second one.

    Thanks!  ...Tiger

I've seen the Apache video before, but the Mil-24 - WOW! I've always thought it would be cool to have one of those. It reminds me of the scene in Rambo where the Russians send one of those to hunt down one man! Great scene!! I'll have a little sit-down with Santa and see what we can do for you Tiger ;) Thanks for the post!!!

Thank YOU GH89! This site is what it is because of the members that are here. And yes, I agree - a GREAT group of like-minded RC enthusiasts sharing their passion for the hobby! As for the sit-down with Santa, I'm having a little trouble getting in touch with him. Maybe he's down at Wal-Mart, I'll head down there and see (haha - JK. No way in H_LL I'm going down there!)

Wow, what great videos!  I like the Apache helicopter better, but the Hind pilot flew much better.

Tiger - if you find a "sponsor" make sure to get enough for everyone.  ;)

I could have sworn that the gunner in the Mi-24 turned his head.

Next they will have 1:1 scale that actually fires rockets.
No wait! the military already has those. LOL

That is SO awesome.  Not sure if it's $2000 awesome, but still wow!  If you go to their gallery and click on some of the pictures, you realize what an amazine work of art it is.  Like this one: http://indyhelis.com/gallery010.htm

    From here: http://indyhelis.com/gallery012.htm
Go to that gallery and look at the large side view and notice the honeycomb detailing on the lower tail boom.

That's what I'm talking about!  BIG!

Here's a fella that's flying one a little more scale like.
You don't get to hear or see it start up or shut down but I'm guessing it's a turbine?

Not understanding why a 4 blade rotor head is $600.00, does not look like 12 hours of machining to me?

I have always liked the Airwolf RC helicopters.  This one looks pretty big and it's electric.

That is a Lockheed Contellation. Introduced in 1943 as a troop carrier, later coverted to civilian airliner service in 1945. They were built until 1958, but flew well into the 90's before being retired.
