I am flying a DJI 450 with APC Electric Props. No complaints, but was told that Carbon Fiber props
were much quieter. Would like a second opinion before I order a pile.
Has anyone out there tried both to get a comparison?

The plus side of the APC. They will break before destroying everything else.

    Thanks

I know this is an old post, but I finally have some insight :) I picked up some Ebay CF props for my Phantom2, and I'm still dialing them in. One thing I've noticed already is when you do come in for wonky landing, they are a heck of a lot more durable that the plastic props I had before.

Very ridged too, makes my old props seem like toys. It also seems to make the CF more spunky and one needs to turn town the attitude gains a bit. On my phantom, a hard pitch could cause it to oscillate giving you a f1st impression that the CF props are not helping you any and can send you in to a tree if you just take of with them thinking its going to not mess with the flight dynamics.

My understanding is that once you get things balanced and dialed you should have more efficient flying, and should lead to longer flight times and a smoother ride.
