The B-17 Flying Fortress was one of the most famous bombers of WW2, although it served in every theatre, it was the ETO in particular that this sturdy and well armed heavy bomber made its name, operating with the USAF 8th Bomber Group from UK airfields.
The Flying Fortress name came from its heavy defensive capability, the B-17 was bristling with defensive 0.50 caliber machine guns, and it won much affection from its crews due to its ability to soak up heavy battle damage and still get crews home.
Despite its size, this is a practical scale model, construction is from tough EPO, the pre-fitted adjustable retracts are electric and feature alloy oleo struts & a locking bar to ensure no under-carriage collapse, no matter how hard the landing! The scale split flaps ensure ultra slow landings and the one piece wing makes transportation really easy. There is plenty of power from the supplied brushless motors to help you get airborne from almost any airstrip.
One of the most outstanding features of this B-17 is the attention to scale detail, it is easily the most scale foamy Fortress around. This model B-17 is easy to fly, packed with scale detail and is practical, there is something very special about flying 4 engined heavy bomber and this one is no exception!

    Price: $261.69
