It is actually pretty amazing how busted up one can be and still be rebuilt.
A little foam safe CA or epoxy and bit of CF rod in the right places can do wonders.  ;)

Started work on the Super Chipmonk. Going to remove all the old covering and go over the entire airframe with some sandpaper and fill/fix any holes/cracks/etc. Bought enough plywood to make all the patches necessary as well as build the new motor mount. Bought a complete Power-46 size EP power setup from Headsuprc.com (tired of waiting for HobbyPartz.com to get their Monster motors in stock  ) After fixing/patching the airframe, I'll seal it with Balsarite, then re-cover it and get the final assembly put together. I am using "old" Monokote covering left-over from several previous builds from another RVF pilot and good friend so color choices are limited. After the maiden flight I'll see how she flies and if I'm as impressed as I believe I will be, I'll buy some new covering for her - probably some metalic green and translucent yellow (GO DUCKS!!!) and yes, I am keeping in mind the rear mount for the floats

I am also (at the same time) rebuilding several of the other balsa/ply planes I acquired from Dangerous Dan that I will be donating to the RVF for our upcoming Swap & Shop in March! Stay tuned for pics and more updates...

Yeah where is the Drone? I got my heli all tuned up, and am now re-designing the camera mounts for spring time weather, but by the looks of it the up coming wx pattern will fully lock me indoors....... Just for a while.......

Yes, the Reaper is on the back burner (once again) as I do have much work ahead to get things ready for the Swap & Shop. However, back burner by no means implies out-of-mind or even out-of-site, she's one af the few planes that gets to stay in the house ;)

The Reaper looks great.  I think it's going to fly really well too.

Sorry we lost you John, it was just a bit further and you would have been there! No worries though, we'll get a look at the camera installation soon.

It was a PERFECT day at the skypark! The fog lifted litterally as we pulled up to the gate! With the sun out it quickly became T-shirt weather thanks mostly to Jim and Len of the RVF who built/brought up two new flight tables for the pilots! Our fun morning became an hour or so of light-duty work!
Dan had Jason's F-16 all rebuilt from my last crash trying to get it into the air and I took it up again with high hopes. Thoses hopes were once again crushed as the jet lost power after not even one circuit of the flying field. I almost had it all trimmed-out when the motor stopped and it came quickly back to earth. I was able the feather the landing at the last moment and save most of the airframe. The landing gear was crushed and some other minor damage occured, but mostly it survived :-\ Dan promised to have it ready again for this morning's flying at Redwood so we'll see in another couple hours.

On my end, I brought my Banana Hobby Pitts bipe after a long night of rebuilding. This was my very first RC plane and is by far my favorite! Being my first, she has had a rough life as I learned the skills necessary to keep her in the air successfully! Last Thursday, a group of us from work went out to Flemming Middle School in Merlin for some after-work flying. Long story short, I lawn-darted my Hobbyking Pitts bipe while doing some inverted flight. I was able to rebuild the wings, but I think the fuselage is done. So I dug out my first bipe and set to work getting her air worthy again. She flew like a dream!

I also brought my F-18 Go Ducks jet and I think she is ready for retirement. Even with the new motor I installed, she just doesn't have enough power and with all the battle scars her aerodynamics have pretty much been eliminated. So this one will be gutted and placed on the shelf :(

Third, I took the P-38 I got from Dan and put her up in the air a couple times. One motor spins a little faster than the other so keeping her flying straight is difficult. And again with all the damage, there's not much in the way of aerodynamics. So after gluing it back together and making it whole again, I will gut it and also place it on the shelf :( :(

Lastly, I brought my Slow Stick and, well, its a slow stick and it just flys great!

A few pics from the day...
