The recent posts by our CAR/Truck enthusiasts has inspired and got me thinking about painting (air-brushing) my helicopters. Although I have said a number of times in previous postings painting is not something I'm particularly good at but I am looking to improve. Obviously painting is more ART than a technical adventure and it's the ART that is NOT easily taught. BUT it's the "ART" that will deliver or determine how well a painting will turn out, ultimately how good it will look

Moving forward: I found a couple of tutorials and FIRST is a more advanced lesson geared towards our Fiberglass (FG) Canopys. The SECOND is a VID lesson that's suited to the less talented that will show some techniques for painting the less popular in the RcHeli world the plastic helicopter hat. Which is very similar to painting Lexon CAR bodies that a few around this forum have shown they are quite adept at painting. Except these Canopy's in the second tutorial are "opaque" thus painted on the outside. Clear Lexon Canopies are available for our Rc Helicopters so the techniques used for painting those are the methods used then, yes there painted on the inside!
The tutorials I list are examples and maybe NOT the best but are posted to give an idea of what I'm looking at getting. For my benefit and for future reference but also not forgetting the lurker I'm actually looking to get your opinion(s) and thoughts and to invite everyone to POST any Painting Tutorials that's you would consider teh most informative thus your favorite(s). Hopefully those tutorials are centered around painting the Helicopter Canopy as it will be my Canopies I will be painting, but only to be fair also NOT limited to ...

I'm looking to FIND as much INFO as possible which would at least cover the technical aspects. I'm thinking this would lead or may lead to the betterment of MY artistic side and a better looking, even personalized Canopy ....

So please and if so inclined POST UP some painting tutorials for me [IMG]
