I've had my JR Vibe 500e for a while and have been building it on and off for about a year. Along the way I changed my mind about several bits and pieces and have also reconfigured the wiring a few times. Here are a few photos of the helicopter. There are a lot of wires on this helicopter for the four servos, Gyro and speed controller. Once I had them like this: I was concerned that the frames would rub the insulation off the servo wires from the vibration which I saw on another helicopter I have so I decided to put some sleeving on an also trim the servo wires to optimized lengths so I didn't have a lot of wire folded up. I still have to mount a voltage regulator for the Gyro. I think a few hours on the bench plus the radio and swash setup and she could be flight ready. I am nervous about the maiden on this one. I think I should get my Beam E4 back in the air for some practice before flying this one.
I know the feeling, I was that way with my 600. Come to think of it the maiden of all my high $ models do that. Keeps the excitement level up there any way.
Bill, you and w00d have got me interested in finishing my Vibe 500e. Here is where I left off. The tail pitch rod from the servo to the tail is setup and moves exceptionally smoothly. I also have the tail pitch slider moving so freely that I almost think something can't be right. I have to epoxy the tail fin tonight so I can get that mounted.
